Who We Are

Dignity 4 Daughters team

Empower Her Kenya is dedicated to breaking the cycle of poverty by empowering mothers and daughters through menstrual and reproductive health education and access to community resources.

Our vision is a future where girls thrive with opportunities, transforming their lives and communities for generations to come.

Why We Do What We Do

In Kenya, nearly 1 in 5 girls aged 15-19 becomes a mother, with teen pregnancies contributing to high school drop-out rates and limited opportunities for young women.

Many of these girls face systemic barriers to education, health, and safety.

Empower Her Kenya launched the Dignity 4 Daughters program at local flower farms to address these challenges head-on.

Flower farms often employ women, making them key sites for intervention. By providing reproductive health education, access to menstrual hygiene products, and life skills training, the program empowers women and their daughters to reclaim their futures and build lasting resilience.

Breaking the Cycle

Of Poverty And Stigma

In many communities, menstruation is a taboo topic, causing school absenteeism, early pregnancies and limited opportunities.

35% of girls miss school during their cycle, with 58% missing three or more days each month.

OUR SOLUTION

Dignity 4 Daughters is here to change that.

Our program empowers girls and their mothers by providing the knowledge and tools they need to manage menstruation confidently, stay in school, reduce teen pregnancy, and build a better future.

The Women’s Hospital provides comprehensive reproductive health services, safe delivery care, and postpartum support. We’re committed to ensuring women in underserved communities have access to quality healthcare and the resources needed for healthy motherhood.

This life-saving initiative trains healthcare providers in neonatal resuscitation techniques, improving survival rates for newborns. By equipping clinics with essential skills and tools, we’re giving babies a stronger start in life.

Our pilot program focuses on keeping girls in school by providing menstrual hygiene products and education. Dignity 4 Daughters empowers young women with resources and knowledge, fostering confidence and reducing barriers to education.
